I wanted to show you pictures of my 100.00 dollar Super C.
I started herr several times yesterday. It was the first time she has ran in MANY years. I am amazed at how good it starts with the hand crank.
I forgot to tell you she has a fast hitch. It works good too. I hope the pictures work.

I still looks better than my grandpa's '48 c and my uncles super a. They look like rusted pieces of crap. The super a runs on three cylenders and the hydro rockshaft unit leaks all the oil in the engine crank case.

Thats funny, I have two SC's, one came to me from New Mexico and the other came to me from Idaho, and they both came with identical wishbone single front wheels. The same guy must have made the modifications to the three tractors well over 1000 miles apart.

One was running the other was not, but will run with little work. They both brought more than $1500. Do I hear that someone wants to buy one and wants to keep the prices down?

Lanse: I'll up George's offer, $700. for any Super Cs or 200s you can land in my dooryard in as good shape as Ron's. How many can I expect before Labor Day?

Hugh, how in the world am I suppose to build up the inventory with you bidding like that on these things. I am a poverty stricken farmer you know.

George: I doubt if either one of us see many operating Super Cs show up in our dooryards for $700. or $500. Somehow our money making scheme, just wasn't to be. The sheet metal and gas tank on Ron's tractor would bring $500.

Cs and Super Cs could be equiped with a single front wheel.

Lanse, any decent Super C will bring 1500 or twice that around here. I will give 500 for all you can find me in that shape.

George: Some folks have had a sheltered upbringing. I'm 700 miles from you and Super Cs or 200s looking and running as well as that will quite often hit the $2,000. mark, at auctions.

C's and super C's sell for $1700 to $2000 in that condition in SW Manitoba. Push, pull or drag units often sell for half that.

Ron: you are one lucky guy, heck that is a $1,500. tractor anyway you way to cut it.

Just a side note, you maybe should revisit the vendor. The linkage on left side of tractor, from hitch to front rockshaft is missing. These often get hung on shop or barn wall when not in use. You will need it if your into gardening and going to use a fast hitch plow, even if you try a 3 point plow with that adaptor. That linkage provides side tilt in plowing. If the vendor doesn't have it, might cost you more than the tractor.

The linkage you are speaking of has been available as a reproduction for several years at least.

Hugh, it seems lots of those have been misplaced. I am almost sure every FH SC/200 would have had those when new. Must be a pile of them somewhere. You are right it won't plow for spit without it. I leave mine on all the time and keep it parked in range of the 12 gauge as two or three neighbors are looking for one now.

George; They have been known to go missing, and not just hung on the barn wall spike, and forgotten. Not far from me a collector, brought home a 200. The vendor had tossed that linkage in his truck as he was leaving. Couple of days later my brother was here visiting, and we went to look at this collection. The collector asked what the part was. I said, " Since you have the plow you best hang onto that." I then showed him where it went, and it's function. "Oh", he said. "Your right my good wife eyed this one for gardening."

To that date a 300 was the smallest Farmall tractor ever on that farm. He said he can remember his dad having 3 MH tractors and he traded two of them off on the new Farmall 300. His dad cash cropped 500 acres in the late 50s with Farmall 300 and MH 22. Not bad considering the hp some of these guys require today.

That HP requirment amazes me. My grandpa raised 15 acres of tobacco and 75 acres of corn + 75-90 cows and all the hay to feed them and done some custom baling and corn picking with a Cub and a 12 HP VAC Case. He always said that he didn't have time to loaf around at the store like some of the local farmers now days do. Times are sure different now. When I lived at home with the folks we farmed over 500 acres with a C and 230. Most of it was hay and pasture, but we got in a lot of time on those two little tractors.

I used to have one of those, wide front though. Mostly used it to rake hay, works great for that. Think I still have a belt pully set up and a draw bar for the fast hitch some where. That single front wheel sure is neet sure dont see any of those up this way.

You got a bargain. The sheet metal looks pretty straight too. You should buy that plow with the
fasthitch hookup. They're ideal for plowing gardens. I should've never sold the Super C I had. Hal
PS: A new paint job and it will look new.

Since you paid 100.00 for it, I can't call you a theif, but man what a deal. The air cleaner is almost worth the price. Want your money back? There is a set of plows on ebay right now that fits it. They are up to more than your tractor cost though. I have a C and SC and they both will start with one pull of the crank. I can't believe those people were going to cut it up for scrap. They don't know what they missed out on, and will probably spend thousands on a little tractor to maintain their 5 acres now. Enjoy you bargain.

Looks like it has a leaking carb. Shut off the gas under the tank after you shut it off. I wish I could find one like it for $100.00.

Your right I forgot to shut off the gas.
I want to make the pasture behind my house into a large garden. I think the C will do great. Ron

Better get that plow. The Super C is a woderful garden tractor. Makes short work of plowing disking and cultivating and fertilizing. Can be rigged with a transplanter for setting all types of plants. There is also a 2 row corn and bean planter for them. Send me an email and I will send you the dimensions for brackets to fit a one row transplanter to your tractor. I noticed no drawbar for the FH. Did you get it? If not they run around 100 bucks. There are 2 different ones so make sure if you buy one it is from a SC/200/230. Some folks say one from a 240 will work, but the 240 I had , had the larger points on it.
