450 with factory ps,nf, hit hole hard while mowing and now have to turn steering wheel a full turn to get any movement to wheels. Is it serious or simple? What do I look for after sheet metal is off.

One other thing to check is that way back my buddy hit a dead farrow and broke the bracket that holds the power steering unit and it was floppen around under the hood .

Could have broke the verticle steering shaft just above lower bolster bushing. Have a helper turn steering and look through grill openings to see if it turns and wheels don't. If verticle shaft is not turning check gearbox or couplings on steering shaft for the power steering. If you have a later 450 that still has the original steering worm shaft there's a splined coupling that wears out at the radiator. Most of them are already changed out. If the front verticle shaft is broke the front wheels will probably fall off if you jack front of tractor up.

As Vet sys and or you may have broke one of the keys in the steering. At each u-joint on the steering there is a woodruff key and some times they will brake and cause all sorts of funny problems

Pull the radiator grill off and see if ya knocked the end out of the steering bolster cap .You will have to remove both hoods and the center strip .
