Last weekend I had trouble lifting my 1209 deere haybine with my M, it used to lift it slow but now won"t lift it. Yesterday I put my little WD Allis on it, lifted right up no problems or hesitation. How can I get my old M to lift like my little allis.

If you M is using the belly pump it is probably rated for 750 PSI. The AC could well have a 3000 PSI system on it. That is why ACs used such small hydraulic cylinders.

The little Allis has a lot higher pressure hydralic system than the IH.

Check the hyd oil. Could be low. Our M's hydraulics kept getting weaker and weaker, we thought the pump was getting bad, turned out it was just low on oil. Filled er up and she worked great again.

With a 12 GPM live pump put on it. Depending on the year of the M one from a 400 or 450 will work. If you M is newer than mid 50 it should bolt right up.
