Does a 340 have enough HP

Got this Allis haybine/moco with a 9 foot cut. Is a 340 a big enough tractor to be able to handle pulling/running it. We would use a 450 but it has a loader on it so there are not enough hyds outlets to also use the haybine. Or the 300U but it steers so very hard it would almost kill a guy to use it all day long.
Thanks

Old, I don't know if it will or not, but it might. Let us know how it does.

Well we drove the 340 over to his farm and I pulled the Hay bine behind my truck. The hay bine proved to be to much for the 340 on hills etc the front need wanted to climb the hill faster then the hill. After we got there we hooked it back up to the 340 and it seems to do ok. Now if he will just learn how not to run things. I've run it off and on for a week or so and had no problems. He get on and the first thing he does is picks up a rock and then can't figure out how to remove the rock. Yep had to show him how. The he got anouther 100 yards or so and threw off the belts. Oh well guess thats why I'm so needed

I figured it was a shade on the small side, but you never know.

Does ok on the field if you don't have much of a hill. Plus this guy is a city boy that see one way froward or back wards but not both places which is a bad mix with farm machines

Those 340s are pretty amazing little tractors, they are capable of doing much more than they look like they could do. I think the 340 just might get er done if the hay crop is not overly heavy or thick. If it ain't quite enough tractor, how hard is it to drop the loader off the 450?

Loader is pretty hard to remove. Guess we could always unhook the bucket hyds and set them to single acting and use it that way. but we don't know if the used hyd pump we put on is good or bad or some place in between since we haven't had it running since I put the pump on. Ya I have to get it running to pull the baler. Shouldn't be all that hard to get running since its just a matter of getting the timing set. Oh by the way the hay isn't all that thick so I'm thinking the 340 will handle it maybe not as well as the D-17 is on right now but that tractor stays on this farm and the 340 will be going to the other farm either way
