Some of you have added another pulley to run another pump. Have you done this by attaching it to the pulley on the crankshaft? I have my engine disassembled and I could drill and tap it now so that I could add a pulley later, or do you attach it to the gen./alt. pulley?
Thank you

Machining a small groove/recess in the existing crank pulley, then machining a new pulley (of equal or larger dismeter) to match it (forces good concentricity) then drilling and tapping for retaining bolts (4 bolts 3/8X course - grade 5) would prevent much later frustration, Do it. JimN

Thank you Jim. I drill and tap parts almost every day that require True Position to be with in .015 each. To get within that tolerance It usually must be within .005 of the bolt hole radius. My machine is old and tired but we can get it done. I will check the pulley over and see how concentric the I.D. is to the O.D. as well. Thanks again.
