How can I check the Magneto on my Super H.

My Super H wasnt running right. I pulled the distributer cab and point cover to check the points, etc. I put it all back together same as it came off. I dont seem to be getting any spark now.

is the rotor lined up with a terminal on the cap when it fires just take the cap off marking where #1 tower is on the mag then turn engine over and the rotor will stop at that position then snap upon impulse

Did you set the point gap correctly? Is it a H4 magneto?

Andy.

I didnt touch the point gap or the points. I just looked at it, then put the cover back on. Yes its a H4.

I can check the gap tomorrow, but it should be the same as when it was still running.

Yes, thats what the problem was. I didnt even think about that until I was sitting there last night staring at it. Suddenly it popped in my head and I felt like the biggest idiot in the world. Thanks
