Hi, A local heritage centre in the Sydney, Australia, area, is about to restore a W6 tractor, S/N WBK4081 (1942 manufacture?). It is historically significant because it was a "Lend-Lease" tractor supplied by the Government and used in a machinery pool during WW2 by local orchardists. The rear tyres are remnants only, 13.50 x 28, front tyres missing altogether. What are the correct tyre sizes for this tractor?
Thanks, Ian

42" x 10" rear steel and 22 1/2" x 4 front steel was standard on USA reactors. Available rubber sizes in the USA on a very limited basis were; 12.75 x 24 (changed to 12 then to 13.6 modern), 13.50 x 24 (changed to 13 then 14.9 modern), 12 x 30 (13.6 modern) and 13 x 30 (14.9 modern) rear and 6:00 x 16 and 6:50 x 16 front on a limited basis. Since your tractor has 28" rims, obviously different sizes were available in Australia. I would suggest 14.9 x 28 for you tractor since 13.50 x 28 changed to 13 x 28 then to 14.9 x 28 modern.
