Still having trouble with the spark on my a . Just because, I orderd new wires and a point set from YT. Came Yesterday. The A repair manual says to set the points at .013. The instructions with the new set said .020. Which is right? The tractor was running good before I got into failing to start and the points in it now are .013. Different points and /or condenser? Says for H4 magneto on box. Help please
Thanks, Henry

If it is a mag, set the gap .012 - .015. If it has a battery ign distributor , set them at .020.

I ran into this a year back with my 1946 M that has a magneto. Make certain that when you changed the points that you didn't somehow ground out the condensor! Also, when I bought new points and condenser, the new condensor was bad. I put the old one back in and it worked. You just can't trust some of those foreign made parts! Good Luck!
