Whats a good running 301 gas worth? It had the head rebuilt about 250 hours ago ($700), took about a pint of oil in 3 days of cutting. I was going to put it into a 460 diesel but decided to just fix the diesel.

I'm in the southeast part of nebraska. Motor runs good, good oil pressure, doesn't smoke. Where are you at?

South central MN, southwest of Minneapolis, near LeSueur Co Pioneer Power. What do you think would be your bottom dollar?

I was thinking $700 would buy it. I just didn't want to sound way over priced, thats why I was asking on here what they go for. I talked to a neighbor of mine and he thought anything under 1000 would be cheap, don"t know. Are you going to use the 560 to pull or use it? I know the only thing about the combine engines is there not sleeved, which scares some people away from them.

Price sounds reasonable if it'd as good as you say. I've got a couple others up here that some guys are checking out for me but I'll think about it. What town are you from, so I can look it up on Mapquest.

It's a family 560 with an internal crack in the block; not going to pull it just fix it up.

I live about 10 miles north of western, nebraska. The only thing we ever did with the motor was have the head gone through. Other then that we never had any problems. It did set for about 5 years but we made sure that someone would start it at least once a year. I also know where a 263 in a 403 is but it needs to be completely gone through.
