I have looked in the archives and probably don't know how to do it right but not finding what I'm looking for. There was some discussion of some cheaper tires that were good but had the brand name ground off them. Maybe they were blems, not sure. WHat I am looking for is a set of front, tri-rib or 4 rib in a 700 or 750-16. These tires will probably rot off before they wear out and not going to see a lot of road use. Anybody remember or know of a good source? The local tire shop wants 100.00 each and they are Firestones plus the tubes.

Earlier this year I bought two ALPHA tri-rib 600-16 6 ply with new tubes and installed for $86.00. They don't have any clue on them as to where they were made but I have a good guess where! Stamped into the sides is "Made To International Standards" or something like that. Don't think they are talking about IHC either. I haven't had to air them up since new YET. David.

Tiretown.com is what your thinking of the tires have the brand name buffed of.
