I need to get the dash panel off my 184, the throttle assembly broke.

Is the steering wheel threaded and screwed on or can I use a pulley remover to jerk it off? I took the nut off but can't tell if the wheel will pull off.

Thanks

In my manual. It tells you to remove the nut and use a puller to remove the wheel. Bill

I don't know about the 184 but my IH 240 has a splined wheel. Some have a key also. There were two 1/4-20 tapped holes in mine but were half rusted away. I used a 3 jaw puller to get mine off but had to buy a new steering wheel. It needed one anyway. Go slow! David.
