Hi everybody , there's a Farmall 460 with T/A , fast hitch , narrow front , gas , fenders and around 3680 on the hours with a westendorf all hydraulic loader ( never thought to look for the type ) at the dealer in town . It looks pretty good but I didn't get there till they were closed so I couldn't start it . Tires have some checking but a lot of life yet and the paint is OK . I turned the steering wheel and it was about a third of a turn before I noticed the front wheels move . It appears to have power steering . Some of the loader hoses will need to be replaced and they power washed a lot of crud off . The loader is hooked up to the front remotes with valves inline and it has two rear remotes . Good thoughts , bad thoughts or indifference are all welcome ! Thanks ! ...Randy

Check the U Joints on the steering shaft, I think there are three, this could be where the play comes from If not it could be wear in the steering gear. If it has power steering it is power steering assist not hydrostatic.

What CNKS said, and with it not running, you will have a fair amount of play in the steering.

A dealer is usually, not always, the highest priced place to buy an old tractor. Talk to the previous owner to find out the condition.
