I am trying to figure out if my bearings are standard size or oversized. I called my local dealer and they could not cross reference the part number. I want to order a new set if I can figure out if they are standard or larger.

My main bearings are stamped part number: 710319 R1
My Rod bearings are stamped part number: 710327 R1

I was hoping someone had an old manual that would indicate if these part number are standard.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Le

Any good machine shop should have the book that tells the thickness of the std insert. They can mike them and tell what size they are. If the bearings are wore out (shot) the crank will need to be checked also.

Have you looked at the old inserts to see if they have std on them or .25mm (.010")? You probably need to have that crankshaft measured for wear at your local auto machine shop and to see if its egg shaped and needs to be ground or just polished. They can probably get the correct bearings too. Hal

Thanks for the info. I am trying to get by and not pull the engine. I don't want to get too much money into the engine - tractor is not worth the money needed to rebuild. The bearing do not have any size markings except for the IH part number so I was hoping someone could tell me the size based on the IH part number. My plan is to just replace the bearings with the origional size and hopfuly get me by.

Thanks,

Lee

The IH P/N 710327R1 rod bearings are std in size
and cost about $20.00 each. The 710319R1 wasn't listed and the 710318 are listed as std mains and you would need to purchase the thrust main insert separate IH P/N 708910R91 for about $60.00.

They recommend buying the aftermarket bearing sets
and the P/N on the rod bearings is 241143 for $52.00 and the mains # 241149 for $75.00. These are std too.

You can call this place at 1-800-732-0017 and ask for farm tractor parts. Your local Case/IH should be able to double check these numbers. Hal
