help!!!-PLease 140-no oil pressure at gauge?

I cant get the new gauge to register any oil pressure.The gauge does work needle moved with compressed ai
The engine has been completely overhauled( by a machine shop).I just replaced the oil pump-thought that was the problem,apparently not.
Made sure the pump was primed-not getting any oil on top end(except for what i added).
Filter housing not getting warm.
Is there possiby a plug I should be looking for?if so where-if not any ideas.

Prime the entire system by taking the oil pressure line out and using a rubber hose and a pump type oilcan to fill everything (several cans full) then you know it has oil in all parts. JimN

Did you have the engine block dipped and the oil passages cleaned? Your oil gallery could be blocked with dirt or sludge. I would see if there's blockage in the block where your oil pressure gauge is connected. You can try to push a piece of wire into that hole and see if its plugged or open. Don't lose the wire. I wouldn't run the engine until you find the problem. Hal
