Another cub question, just got done putting rings in my 48 cub, hadn't ran it for about 2 weeks but when I fired it up it spit my dipstick out. Stuck it in the ground about 4 feet from the cub. Immediately afterwards it died. It did this 3 times. Anyone know what could be wrong??
Thank you

All of the below plus check the dipstick for damage incase something is hitting it out, check the oil for rag peices also incase one got left inside, hey it happens!

Did you rebore the block and install new oversize pistons with those rings or did you do a patch job and install new rings in the old woren bore? Sounds like those rings are not fitting the cylinder very well and alot of your compression is going past the rings into the crankcase. It has to go somewere's and pushing out the dipstick is the easiest route.

crankcase breather needs to be servised and cleaned.

Sounds like you either have the wrong dipstick or excessive crankcase pressure. Is the ventilation tube from the block to the air cleaner open?

No tractor expert BUT going by typical engines sounds to me like the blowby (crank case breather) might not be working. Have you checked that.
