can anyone give me a general idea of what a 1pr cornpicker might be worth. It is in good shape but not great and should be field ready. My grandfather has 2 and I was thinking of purchasing them. One says McCormick International and the other just says McCormick on the side of the elevator. Are there still alot of these around in working condition.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Lee

Around my area they go for $100 - 150 depending on condition. I bought one a couple of years ago in pretty decent shape for $100. I don't see many around anymore. Not a lot of guys doing ear corn but one of the problems with the IH pickers is they rust away over time unless taken care of.

For those of you that have used a IH 1PR corn picker, how well do they husk the cobs. I am having trouble with mine husking only about 50% of the cobs. Tried all adjustments that book says. Rubber flaps on ear forwarder are pretty worn. I think this might be part of the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Lee, the last one I seen sell only brought 100 dollars, and dumb me just stood there and watched. I am sure they should be worth more than that, but don't know. I would like to have one myself now.
