Just looking at the 2x2 in the photo ads and was figgering how much room was realy needed for the eng. , rad. etc. and thinking they could have cut about 4-5 feet off the front of this thing . Was there a reason for it to have that big nose hanging off the front . I cant remember seeing one up close .

Ken once again you don't know what your talking about. All 2 + 2's are diesel so whay would you have a gas can??

BTW, it's a 2+2 (two-plus-two). A 2x2 is a handy chunk of wood that makes a good clobberin' stick :)

The engine sits ahead of the front axle. The space betwen the front axle and hinge is filled by the fuel tank. If you move the engine back, where will the "gas can" go?
