I went to a family reuion yesterday and a couple cousins brought some Toys with them. One was a 1910 buick that has been in his side of the family since new. they even have the original bill of sale! Another cousin, drove his 1930 Farmall Regular over with a cart with seats on it to take people for rides. As I walked past he said hey Bob , you want to take those people for a ride? I didn't have to be asked twice! Nice old regular on spokes! He had found new pistons and sleeves and NOS bearings for it and that thing was one of the nicest running ones I ever heard! Good looking too! I later drove it back to his house a mile and a half away and saw the rest of his toys. all of them nice including a I-6 1949 Navy aircraft tow that he is working on. He had a bunch of the hard to find toys like a AV I-4, W-30ect.

Bob, sounds like it was a great reunion. If only you had brought the bean pot. You could have had tractor races.

Hey Goerge, I drove the H today! I should be grinning from ear to ear, but I am not. There is a horrendous gear noise in the tranny. I put in a new input shaft/gear and I hope it is just wearing in agaist the old gear on the lower shaft. If I jack up the tractor and spin a tire with it in neutral it is super quiet. Mine shifts great in all gears, belt pully works fine, PTO works fine but trans growls like heck with the clutch out.I dunno. Kfox is headed over here tomorrow morn. He said his made noise for 2 days when he put new bearings in his H and it is nice and quiet now. I wanted him to listen to mine and see what he thinks. I heard his run a week or two ago... sweet!

My old H makes lots of noise with the cluth out, even in neutral. I will tear into it one of these days and see what the problem is. I suspect your's will get better. I know mine needs work. I have run Farmalls all my life, but never an H. C's and M's, 300,350 a few Super A's and 130/140 and a Cub. This is my very first H. It does have nice straight sheet metal and good non matching tires, but it will fit in good with the rest of this junk. I hope you get her lined out. Happy Farmalling.
