I just purchased a 36 F-12 off of ebay and it had a mounted plow on it. I would like to know if somebody could give me some information about the plow.

The plow appears to have the same lifting mechanism as my #8 plow. The clutch mechanism is driven by a chain off of the rear axle and that is what lifts the plow. There is a guage wheel just to the rear of the master adjustment lever where the lever meets the beam. The guage wheel is just forward of the contact patch of the right rear tire.

I was wondering if anybody could give me any information on this plow as I have never seen one before(which is why I paid what I did for it).

The Ebay item number is 290128430533, you can find some pictures for it there.

If anymore info is needed to Identify this plow let me know in a reply to this message and I will do what I can to get it.

Thanks
doug

My $.02 worth. I have one of those also. It is a #90 plow originally made by the P & O plow company before they were bought out by IHC. It was originally painted red, white and blue. The guage wheel is white, the beam and mounting hardware were red and the moldboard, share, landside, etc were blue. When I restored mine those were the colors I found on the various pieces. If you need a manual on the plow, it is available at the Wisconsin Historical Website.

The website is WWW.Wisconsinhistory.org. You can then do a search in the library and archive section.

I have one of those on my F12 also. I beleve its a number 9 plow. It works real well, but a dead furrow is tough to do nicly with one bottom. A modern IH bottom will bolt right on the beam and be a lot easier to find parts for.

You have to use the whole frog. I got a used 16" bottom from a friend that put all new ones on his 720 semi-mount plow. It might be a super chief bottom. My plow is a 90 like the other guys said, I knew it was 9 somthing.
