Hello - could someone plse tell me the model that the 2500 is a derived from. I have been told 454 and 554 but would like to be certain. Mine is a four cylinder, approx. 43 HP Draw bar rated, has a straight front axle.

Also, I would like to know the IH loader model that fits the 2500.

Thanks

Hi 454 Diesel had a 3 cylinder D179 CU inch engine. There was a gasoline version but know the cylinders or CU.

Thanx a bunch JimB - I have learned that the 2500 series, A & B, are very similar to the IH 574 tractors.

I am considering purchasing a 2500A but would like to have a loader too. I think the IH 2200 loader will fit on the frame mounting points of the 2500. That loader is also used on the 484 as well as the 574.

Thanks again.
