Just replaced the waterpump with a reman from CIH. When I tightened the mount bolts the pump drags a little bit. Can here it rubbing inside the housing. Should I file the fins or take it back? Thanks for your help... Kerm

It's been awhile since i had to do one and i guess i am getting foggy . The last 806 water pump that i did was back 12-15 years ago and i did the rebuild myself as back then that is the way it was done . So if no gskt then they did not press the impeller on far enough or when they pressed the hub on they pushed the shaft thru the bearing and did not catch it as i have done that a couple times but caught my mistake and had to press the shaft back .

I'd take it back. For the money they charge for parts, they ought to be perfect.

Did ya use the Gskt.??? if ya just used yucky pucky then it may hit . If ya did use the gskt then take it back as they did not press the impeller on correctly.
