I've got a 46 Farmall BN converted to 12 volt system. I'm looking for a schematic of the electrical system to see what wire goes where to trouble shoot. Any help?

Last year I restored a Super C with 12 volt conversion. Ended up with a new after-market wiring harness. It had every terminal or wire marked with a schematic wiring diaagram included. If I remember correctly we also used a 12 volt alternator with an internal voltage regulator. Just purchased a wiring diagram from CaseIH parts counter for a B. Just wiring harness and terminal ends, no wiring diagram. This is for 6-volt with magneto. May make the job more challenging. The marked terminals and the wiring diagram with the aftermarket one made things fairly easy. Just my $.01. Not worth $.02. Have a good day.

The BN was built with a 6v system and pos ground with a magneto. Now that you have 12n gnd you need to rewire the whole system to get the correct wires to the rite places. If you used a 12v DELCO REMY gen then that will be different than if you used an ALT.

The stock BN came 6 volt from the factory. So yours had to have converted to 12 volts sometime later. And there's many possible was to convert to 12 volts - so there's literally dozens possible wiring diagrams.

Post back whether your BN has a generator or alternator. Also the manufacturer of the generator/alternator, whether it has an external voltage regulator, and if so the number of terminals on the voltage regulator.

With this info (and a bit of luck...) we should be able to identify a schematic that will work for you.
