Well the motor is still stuck but it has been to cold to work on it. What I have now is the ignition switch. This tractor has a Key switch on it and I can't get it to turn. Does anyone know of a place that sells them? All I have found is push-pull switches and they are quite pricey

Thats what I wanted to find out. If it was stock. No it don't start from the key you just turn it on then pull the start lever. I guess thats how it will work cause I have not had it running. Thanks Guys

Case IH shows the push pull switch to be available part 62801DC. I bought 2 from my dealer 2 or 3 years ago for about $15 each. Asked for Super M switch and they brought out switches in Case IH box do not remember part number but they were not made like original fit and worked fine though and appear to be good quality.

As you may have guessed by now, the key switch is not stock.

Does this tractor have a separate starter button, or can you find a little electrical doohickey in the big cable coming from the battery box? The electrical doohickey is a solenoid, and is also not stock.

An O.E.M. style push/pull switch is quite pricey. You should be able to find an aftermarket replacement that is more in your price range. It won't look original, but it will work. Try NAPA, Carquest, etc.

Any really good auto parts store sells them. A store around here that sells them is an automotive chain called NAPA. Some are just "off-on" and some are "off-on-start". You can get either one, and just not use the momentary start circuit if you get one with it. The only bad part about them, is you usually have to enlarge the mounting hole. Therefore, if you ever decide later to put an original switch back on the tractor, you will need to do some work to reduce the diameter of the hole. (Don't ask me how I know.) mike
