We have some land in Tennessee and was out walking around and saw a very large mound of honeysuckle vines and briars, and you get the idea. long story short, it turns out that there is an I-H model M in the middle. I found the serial tag and was wondering if anyone could give me any info. on it .the # as I was able to read it is....FBK 284764x1 . I would like to find out when she was built and all. I was thinking of trying to find an old MM to rebuild because my wife was born and raised in Moline, but I think she would be happy with this one . And it is already our's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Steve Greenhill, Clarksville, Tn.

wow, guys thanks for all the replies so quick. I'm new to this tractor stuff , but after cutting it out into the open she does look like it would take alot of money to get her back into shape. So I think she will make a parts tractor in the spring. again thanks for the info. Steve

Looks like a couple of guys missed seeing the last number. Sorry for the confusion, but you do have a

1951 Gasoline Farmall M.

We'd love to see some "before" pics. Lord knows, nothing it more interesting than discovering an old tractor buried from years of growth only to see the light of day!

1951 it is. Nice old tractor, if in not good enough shape to restore, use as a lawn or garden orgnerment.

....Your Farmall M iwas built in 1941.....the first ones were built in 1939...last one in 1952..

Check it over and make sure you want to put the money in it that it will take to restore.....you may be better off buying a better one and using this one as a parts tractor....ask your questions on here....these guys know evey thing there is to know.....

Hi Steve,

Your M is a late 1952. Could you post some pic's? Could have disk brake's, the late M's had disk brake's before they switched over to produce Super M's.
