I was told that the 3pt hitch works off the rearend, meaning it only goes up or down when the tractor is moving. Someone please enlighten me.Thanks

Hi Perry, B275 has live hydraulics sames as B414.
The pump is run by the timinig gear at the front right of the engine.

I have a B250 and the tractor does not have to be moving to raise or lower either the 3 pT or the loader that is on it

Not sure on that model, but if it does not have live hydraulics then the pump could be on the transmission side of the clutch. which means no hydraulic pressure unless the clutch is engaged. The non-live hydraulics should work in neutral as well with the clutch engaged.

I sort of thought that model had live hydraulics though.
Live hydraulics means the hydraulics are driven off the engine and do not depend on the clutch to operate.
