I need to remove the govenor on my M to fix a oil leak.Do I have to worry about getting it out of time to do this? Can I just pull it out and then just stick back in?

yah make sure that littleshaft is in the slot of the carburator correctly if not the thing will take off at full throttle i m glad the kill switch wasnt too far away LOL :)

It will not effect timing but , when reinstalling you have to make sure to alighn shaft to carb or it will not function properly.
