I have some noise in the rear of my B. This tractor has been sitting for quite awhile with water in the transmission. Is there one certain bearing that is most likely the problem, or do I have to start replacing all of them? Not a grinding noise but more like a roar/whine. Or could there be another problem. I have drained the trans. Should I clean with Kerosene before I put in new fluid? What about the final drives? Take the pans off and drain/clean?

Thanks

Do clean our all the water. It is normal for the rear end of any tractor with reverse final drives to whine. Even the direct drive C and Super C have a certain amount of gear whine. If you see damaged bearings, replace them, but you will not remove the noise.

Yes I would drain it all!! Then clean it very good. Make sure you get all the kerosene out of it then fill it back up with oil and go from there.
