I'm looking for a torgue tube casting for either 414 or 434. Problem here is the tractor has a 414 serial number and 434 decals. The current broken torque tube is part number 3044048 R1. I have a guy telling me these are different between these two models. What I need is the proper part number for each of these. Probably 275 or 444 numbers wouldn't do any harm either.

My gut feeling is that all 275, 414, 434 and 444 have the same tougue tube. I suspect that different torque tube is from a B-250, which didn't have live PTO with two stage clutch. If anyone can set me straight on the part numbers it would be much appreciated.

I got back to the guy in Australia, and yes indeed what he had picked up was a 434 casting. He called the supplier back and was able to trade for the proper 414 casting. Mission acomplished and thanks to all.

Hugh, I can't answer your question but I bet Steve can : Ontario Used Tractor Parts, Londesborough Ontario (519)523-4922. Last time I was there in late summer he had a B250 and a 414 ready to strip down, good chance he would have a torque tube for you. When did you start messing with a 414?

Michael: It's not me, I got this request from Australia and it was not a YT web site reply. If you read my responce to the others, I think you will readliy see why the guy is having troubles finding the right torque tube.

Looking at the info Pat, ejr and Ih2444 have given me it's obvious Auzzie part numbers differ in the Rxx number. I think I have enough info now to set him off in the right direction. If he asks that parts guy for a 414 torque tube, he'll get what he needs.

The 414 gas and diesel, and the 444 NORTH AMERICAN Diesel all use 3044048R22.

The 434 uses a 3044011R12

and the European 444 uses 3044011R21

Pat: Read my responce to Ih2444 and ejr. The tractor is Australian, near as I can tell a 414 with 434 badges. I expect he has ordered a 434 torque tube when in fact he should have ordered a 414 torque tube. I can read the casting number on the photo he sent 3044048 R1, that being the broken casting.

ejr: Read what I said to Ih2444. The tractor is Australian, it has a serial tag A-414 A-414 1271. The tractor has model badges calling it a 434, I expect someone has changed the hood or badges.

I expect he has called a used tractor parts business in Australia and asked for a torque tube for a 434, when in fact he should have been looking at and buying the part for 414. They've sent a 434 torque tube to the shop where he has tractor and the two castings are different.

Ih2444: Yes it is the clutch housing, I've now seen a photo, and there is a new twist in here, The tractor serial number is 1271, however the model is A-414, Australian. I can clearly read the serial tag and it is as follows A-414 A-414 1271. I can also clearly read the casting part number and it is 3044048 R1. The hood is baged 434, however I told the owner someone must have changed the hood or badges. I have not seen the grill.

I have no idea what happened to this tractor. He sent me photos of both ends, both sides as well as top and bottom of that casting. Every photo shows cracks some as wide as 1/2", however there are no section broken out of the casting anywhere. I have never seen anything like it, and I've seen tractors that had been involved in road accidents with cars, trucks and even trains. He claims there are no cracks elsewhere on the tractor. Read what I say to others.
