Gary: Just looking through a local farm paper.

Farmall C --- 50HP, one owner, always stored inside, no photo, sorry.

I think this one must have one of those V8 transplants. If might even have that missing M engine. If your interested I can go have a look.

Gary: I rather doubt the C is 50 hp or indeed has been modified by anyone. Looks to me as though someone is selling off grandpa's estate, has no idea what they are selling. More than likely their neighbor has one of those new compact 30 hp tractors, thus they think the C looks large.

All this and I was just trying to get a rise out of you, By the time Hal got you awake, we had us a Missouri reunion going. Jimmy's right you don't want to see that photo, it's in the archives if you want to look hard enough. I wouldn't waste much time on it.

Jimmy did give me such a hard time, I conned him into sending a photo of himself, haven't had a mouse in this big old farmhouse since. Having said that I will give more of the credit to our old cat than Jim's photo. You see the photo Jim sent is of he and his late wife Alice. Alice more than makes up for any fear a photo of Jimmy may instill in living beings.

Tom, Nice to see you on the forum. Jimmy gave me your cell phone no. the other day so I'll give you a call one of these evenings. Did you survive the ice and snow job we got a month or so ago - I sure hope so. It's a mess around here and I spent the afternoon with a chain saw cutting up tops and limbs for firewood for dad. Lots more to go as I've barely started. Have a good one, Hal.

Hal call me Monday thru Fri I am out there all night long. We didn't get that ice and snow over here by the river, it seems like I-44 was the cutoff point. I did manage to spend 13 hours stuck in that snow storm that hit the central part of the state the first week of Dec.
I had to change servers so that I could get back online and when Jimmy said something about that C being bored I couldn't resist, you guys will see me here a lot more.
Hugh I bought me a big truck to play with. I got a 1964 IH Emeryville cabover with a 250 Cummins and 10 speed if the speedometer and hour meter are right it is a very low mileage and low houred truck with 266,000 miles and 5400 hrs and I don't think I got hurt at the price. Talk to you all later. Tom

Tom: My gosh, no one has heard tell of you since before the ice storm. Jimmy and Paul were the better part of a week getting back online. How badly did you get nailed by that storm? Hal was giving me a day by day on you guys back when it happened.

I can't seem to raise Gary tonight, perhaps you'd like to come to Canada and buy this 50 hp C. Well, at least you could say you have all the non Super letter series then.

Hugh, look what you've done - except for Paul you got about all of us on this thread. Nice going and whoever said those boys in Missouri aren't friendly. Have a great week up north, Hal.

Hal: No question, probably more Missourians, than any other group I've met here at YT, but then you got to remember, it all started when Paul made fun of my legs, and Jimmy my body. From there the rest of you chimed right in. Ocasionally I feel like your ganging up on me.

Friendly must be the word, as I don't really feel threatened by it. Paul and Jimmy will back off once they have to compete with me for a share of that barbequed steer.

Don't be so quick Hal, I have been watching just waiting for you to reply. I hate to be first all the time. Hugh has never posted anything I didn't read. I even remember the photo of him in those shorts. I didn't know anyone that far north wore shorts.

If you ever want to see Canadian shorts come down to Myrtle Beach sometime. Mid-January they dress like July.
Good Luck, Wm

Paul: I dug out the shorts for this mornings atire. It's around 28F here this morning, not quite shorts weather, I did briefly step outside to read the therometer, the birds at our feeder all flew away. Scarey for them I'm sure.

You see, our son and his good better half landed home from 8 days in Costa Rica sometime late last evening. We don't expect to see them today, however we have been promiced a download of trip photos. I thought the shorts may be proper atire for viewing Costa Rica photos. Well, at least it shows I'm in the mood.

Gary, Bob Melville has the photo well protected in his Rochester, New York home which is probably buried by 10 feet of snow by now. Looks like we are in for some wicked weather as well coming tonight and through the week, take care and stay warm, Hal

Hal, You spent to long in that gloom and rain out in Washington. Being an expatriot Michigander, even with my foggy memory, I recall what real winters are. Now those people in NY state with 131 inches of snow that are using there second story windows for egress because they can't dig deep enough to find the front door know real winter. BTW I think Canadian shorts are usually cutoff carhart bibs. Iknow summer runs from june 30th to july 5th up there. :)
