my tractor travels at the same speed if the torque is pulled back or pushed forward and if u hold it back all the way the tractor wants to stop is there any adjustmant on the torque or does it need to be replaced thanks David

When you pull the lever back and the speed does not change it means the TA clutch is not releasing, you are still in direct drive. When you pull it back farther and it stops then the cluch is releasing but the overrunning clutch is slipping. TA needs to be replaced.

David: There is adjustment, but you need an operators manual. The adjustments must be very precise, thus it would be very difficult to describe online. You can try the adjustment, however from your description I suspect the TA is toast.

You can buy rebuilt TA units.
