In CT all restored up they go for $3,000 to $3500.

It all depends. It's worth more to the right person. Some people like the early serial numbers and others like myself feel that the later the tractor is, the better.

I like the Farmall letter series; I grew up on a Farmall M. I think the Farmall M is one of the all-time great tractors and by far, the best looking tractor ever made. BUT--the market determines what a tractor is worth. I've seen people pay $1500.00 for a Farmall M, put another $2000.00 into it and end up with a Farmall M that will only bring about $2000.00 on the market. Not knocking the M's, but that's the way it is.

My guess----lucky to get $2250.00.

That's hard to say. There are all types of "restorations" - anywhere from quickie paint jobs, to showroom new. Plus, to many folks, the first year M's have a lot of appeal while many others seem to avoid them, due to their unique features. If you had one of the first 10 made, that might add something extra(?). Here's a guess: Figure out what it's worth as an M, then add $500 because it's a 1939. On the otherhand, if you don't care whether you have a '39 or not, just price it like you would any other M in comparable condition. mike
