HELP!! clutch won't disengage

I have a 3388, and the clutch won't disengage. The temperature around here has been zero lately, so that must have something to do with it but I don't know what. I checked the oil, and that is fine. The tractor will turn, and the lift arms go up. The pedal usually pushes harder than it is now too, and it comes back to the return position real slow. I don't know what to try now. Anybody have any ideas, or have had a similar problem??

3388 is the smallest 2+2 I think and it has mechanical links on clutch. The problem is either the bracket on the bottom front corner of cab is broken or the throw out bearing has failed and ate the fingers off of the pressure plate. if it is the bearing and pressure plate it will have to be split of course. Good luck.

Your only hope is to get the tractor into a heated building, to see if somehow moisture got into the clutch area and froze up the works. It will take several hours, perhaps days, in above-freezing temperatures to thaw everything out.

Most likely, though, the clutch just picked the worst possible time to give out on you. There's no "turn a screwdriver" fix. It'll need to be trucked off to a shop with the proper equipment to be repaired.

I dunno,

I'll still bet that cable is fuggy; pedal won't come back over center and the thing pushes too easy?

Don't know squat about your tractor, but isn't that one cable operated coming out of the cab?
