Well, after visiting the local scrap yard and design, cutting and welding, I now have a 3 point hitch system that I can insert a Ball, a pendle hitch and remove that and insert regular draw bar. So, I am saying that I can pretty well hook up anything to tow to my H. However, I learned the weakness...and that is, the cg is shifted so far back that the front wheels come off the ground quickly. So, next weekend, I will cut out and weld up a hanger to bolt onto the front rails to receive the 96# weights. Maybe 4 of them. That might keep the wheels on the ground.

Anyway, tinkering around is fun---but it is hard to tinker seriously with one hand working and the other in my pocket to keep from banging the sore thumb---did you ever try to light a torch with one hand and adjust it?

Build you a front weight bracket, that can hold 7-10 75# Ih suitcase weights. They would bolt in the frame bolts along the side, make them as long as you need them, I ran mine the full length of the rail on my 40 H, The frame rail is 4 inches wide I belive,, Find a weight bracket of a 460-856 IH tractor, and bolt everything up, and have a nice looking setup. Antique pullers dont want heavy wide fronts,, if a narrow front was available stock. Chad

Tom, You might consider a wide front end, if you don't have one. Lots of extra weight there. Then you can add front wheel weights (if you can find them) I've been looking for two years, and only found one (1) weight. I think the pullers must have them all hoarded up. :-) ken
