what would have to be done to bolt the engine of a H to the rear of a 460 or is it even possable thanks for any help

Bolting it in might not be as much of a problem as what to do with the tractor. The H engine has far less HP (unless tweeked then it would be less long lived, and economical) JimN

Well the deal is I know where there is 46o rear complete brakes t/a pto and most of the 2point hitch just though that might be a good project kinda different

I agree with Jim; why not just get a 460 - or rebuild the H engine and soup it up by 10 hp? You get that 460 engine in an H, and you might very well blow the rear end out of it. Everything has to work together.... mike
