Building a pulling tractor, would a 706 rearend & trans be lighter than a 806 ?

Their can be a difference in the ring gear carriers on the 706 and theirs a different part No. on the bull gears also may be a tad narrower.Around here the guys want the 706 rear ends with the lighter 38'' rear cast centers and the lighter 3pt for stock pulling and useing the 66 center section and 66 engine.

That's why they always use a 460 rear casting with an 806 or combine engine. 5000 lb and less is very doable.

Those 706 thru 1486 rear end housings are massive. Did I say heavy?
