To change the Rear Oil seal on a 1950 wd6 tractor, Does it have to be split or not? I will also be working on the clutch because it now jerks while letting it out. thanks for your help

Hi, I am going to assume a 6 is similar to a 9. Take the fuel tank and front tank support casting off, remove clutch and flywheel. The engine seal is built in 2 pieces so it comes off easily, if I remember right you also have to remove the oil pan and a rectangle shaped plate between the pan and the seal bracket. Good Luck, Chuck
