i have 2 m's from my dad which wer purchased in 1949 and 1950.Both tractors start and run fine except sometimes the carb will overflow when cranking.seems to happen more in the winter and i know they did it occasionally for my dad but now have gotten worse.any suggestions please

Dear Steve,
Usually the problem you are experiencing can be fixed with a new needle and seat. While you have the carburetor apart be sure the float doesn't have fuel in it. Sometimes the float rubs the float bowl causing the float to stick in the down position. I have had the best luck with the viton tip needle and seat.

Rebuild your carburetors. While you are at it, make sure your sediment bowls and fuel lines are clear of trash. mike
