Are there many differences between Mccormick Deering 15-30 and W-30? Will any parts interchange?

Here are some "off the top of my head comments," with a lot of the "information" from memory. The 15-30 and W-30 are definitely not the same machine with different names. The W-30 uses the same engine as the F-30, and that engine has the same dimensions as the 10-20. I believe that the F-30/W-30 always had a water pump (the 10-20 does not), but it would not be surprising if the internal engine parts are the same. It is true that the 10-20, 15-30, F-20, F-30, W-30 engines are very similar in design (the most interesting thing about them is the 2-bearing crankshaft, with enormous ball bearings on each end).
I believe that the W-30 came out originally with 3 speeds, but then was given 4 speeds at some point. No doubt this info is available somewhere.
The 15-30 was "uprated" to 22-36 at some point, possibly around 1930. I believe that there was an increase in bore size so that the tractor could produce more power. Can't check just now, but could find the info in if it really matters to anyone.

The 10-20 and the W-30 both used the 284cid engine. Hal

The W30 is closer to a 10/20.
Later Bob
