Many thanks for the info. I'm slowly starting to think about making my tractor/s more usable by making/finding implements for them. I'm sort of thinking about a carry platform as well as a lifting boom for the rear of the Super C. Thanks, tractorsam

Yes, the platform carrier is a very useful item. I have mine on the Super C all the time unless I'm using something else then it goes right back on. It gets used for tasks I couldn't begin to list. It's a very handy item. Hope this helps, Hal.

Sam: Old and Jim told you correctly, with SC and 200, front end weight is the limit. That hitch is way over engineered for SC and 200. Given the length and yours has wide front, I'm thinking 1,000# plus. Once you get to 1,500#, I'd start getting concerned about those rear axle housings on rough ground.

I have a sprayer, roughly 800# loaded behind my 130, and with about 300# of front end weight, I get along quite well as long as I spray the hills after sprayer is 1/2 full. My hitch will lift it up to about 600#, bear in mind I do have that sprayer very close to back of tractor. I raise the sprayer to desired height then put check chains to carry the load. I would never trust the 130 fast hitch or hydraulics with full load.

That sprayer is a 3 point I built a single point adapter for. In building that my goal was getting weight as close to tractor as possible. I have had the sprayer on my brothers 230 using his 3 point adapter. The 230 will pick the full sprayer off the ground with ease and go with it. With 230 wide front, I can spray up hill and down right from full sprayer. Also because of his 3 point adapter the center of sprayer is about 12" further from axle point of 230 than on my 130.

Bear in mind what old has said, it's how close to tractor you have the weight that counts.

Old has it, it will lift beyond usability. I would put no more than 500# on it for safety in driving. Remember the farther the load is behind the axle the heavier it appears to be, Keep it close, and it will lift more safely. JimN

Well if working as it should be enough to stand the tractor up on its butt. I would guess at least 1000lbs but if it did lift that the front end might not be on the ground any more with out weights up front. I know an 8N ford will lift 800lbs plus so that farmall should lift as much if not more
