One more endorsement for Rusty and he'll be out there with the Cowman. How about we send him to Denny?

if you are unsure of doing the work yourself, I would suggest sending the carb to Branson Enterprises in Loves Park Illinois. Their phone number is 815-633-4262. or website is www.bransonenterprises.com

You can do it, use lacquer thinner to soak it in, about $10 a gallon works better than most carb cleaners, HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. keep away from fire or
sparks, NO SMOKING. You can get parts and a diagram
from your IH dealer.

Its something you can do, but figure on tieing up $100-200 in the carb cleaner, and kit give or take $100. Carb are very simple but theres a trick to getting them just right and if you don't know the tricks you could end up opening it up 5-10 times before you have it correct. So now you can e-mail Rusty or try it your self either way it will cost you some $$. I don't know Rusty but I have talked to him on and off for years and he seems to know his stuff on carbs

I did mine just because I wanted the experience of taking one apart. Orderd the kit from CaseIH, around $90, bought carb soaker and cleaner. Spent a weekend off and on working on it. Got lots of help from this site on the "tricks" of rebuilding one. So I ended up having plenty of time and money wrapped up in the rebuild.

If you don't have the time or know how then I would trust Rusty to rebuild your carb.

If you want it done right and at a fair price, send him the email.
