Was out bush-hogging today. Not long after I had the little girl warmed up, and it started to labour something awful. shut her down, let her cool off, started again, same thing. Felt like it wasn"t getting oil and tryin to seize. Towed it up to the garage, checked the oil pressure, guage read lots. Drained the oil, few brass filings in it and some "grey" ones as well. Kind of worried. Sound familiar?

Be lucky it isnt a modern FWD car. Those are a pita and normally require dropping an a frame, or more often, an engine pull.

If It came down to my pulling my 300u's pan when somthing like this happened, I wouldnt be happy, but it could be ALOT worse.

Hound,
Sounds like you spun a bearing..... ... :(

I'd pull the pan and have a look.

Hound,

That sounds like a bearing is tring to double back on itself. Those "brass and grey" colored shavings could be bearing material.

Pull the pan and inspect before you run it again. Luckily, you should be ahead of a crank turn at this point.
