3 pt hitch for Super C

I know I"m a few years late, but I sure could use any advice, photos or drawings etc to fabricate a 3 pt hitch on our Super C. Steve Mason and a few others made them, and posted messages on the Forum in 2002 and 2003. Right now we have a McCormick 7 ft sicle bar mower on it, but I'm having trouble finding parts for it. Right now, the main support "L" shape bar is bent, and I can"t find one, and to be truthfull, I"m getting tired of riveting the cutter plates on the bar! :). Id like to make a 3 pt hitch for it - like Steve Mason or the gentleman ("SuperC"?) who helped Steve with some photos. So I can use a 5 foot brush hog to cut our fields. I posted this on the original thread back on 2003, but wasn't sure if it would be seen.

Thanks again v/r Mark

I went to the archives and typed in "fast hitch for a super c" and came up w/this post that included several comments. Canadian Hugh himself contributed information on the continent-wide theft of a few missing parts. I"m Norwegian and therefore not at all schooled enough (thought I might as well beat the rush and admit it myself) to post information about such a project. I wouldn"t have the first clue "bout starting on it. I could suggest that you look on the left of the screen under the "Marketplace" links and check out "Classified Ads" and "Photo Ads" links as I have seen postings for such equipment. You are probably smart enough to have already done that though. Another source for something someone else may have for sale/fabrication is to look at Red Power magazine which arrived in my mailbox earlier this week. [HTH] Hope this helps, good luck with your project and remember "us red iron folks likes lots ta peek at pictures" when we are drinking our coffee at the computer. oh, NUTS, here come the computer safety police. I better get in the van and escape. Talk at ya Sunday-off to shoot/view round barns/any barns this p.m.

Thanks Al. Appreciate the response. Steve Mason made one in 2003, and posted pictures, but the pictures aren"t in the archives. If we had some photos, think we could see if we could actually fabricate one. Thanks again - the search continues!
