Well folks, my mechanic finally split my 560 Diesel today and gave me some answers. The rear seal of the engine is leaking, The main chutch was down to the rivits but didn't even scratch the flywheel, and the PTO short shaft spines were so sharp you could cut paper with them. The flywheel is at the machine shop being turned. The belt pulley was removed looking for a big fuid leak at the top and found out the leak is at the gasket of the platform. I was going to have him replace that gasket anyhow. He still has the split for the TA to do yet. I'm having a 4 pad main clutch, PTO short shaft, Ramp and roller TA and clutch assembly and a new rear axle seal also done at the same time. Then I can look at getting this thing painted. I couldn't do all this if I had to take this to the local IH dealer. I found an old IH mechanic who cut his teeth working on 560's to do the job for a reasonable price. It should take him about two weeks of spare time to do it.

Sounds like you're going to have a nice new tractor when you're done. I'm envious; I've always liked the 560's.
