1566 has WET BRAKES, located in axle\planetary housing, which must be removed to service. Other than low steering\brake pressure, problem is probably internal.

Well you got the answer as to wet or dry but here is something that ya had better have a book on to get the adjusters reset as i am thinking that you may have a couple broken adjusters and this is not allowen the brake discs to make full contact . Now if things are wet when ya pull her down then ya got other problems like bull pinion seals leaking and if this is the case then check for loose bearings on the bull pinion and while your in there make sure that the brake piston is not cocked in the bore , and it is also wise to tear it apart and install new O/Rings and clean things up . Now more the likely you will find the isolator disc off the piston if it is not broken you can clean it up with brake clean and reglue it to the piston either with and epoxy or even just trim cement. Myself i prefer the epoxey . If y aneed more then just ask for me.

To elaborate the terminology, what is wet and dry brakes. I'll guess wet brakes are hydraulically assisted, and dry brakes are directly tired mechanically. Please tell me if I'm wrong. I like learning on the forum... =)

Wet brakes run in oil and dry brakes do not.

Dry brakes can also be hydraulic.
