Well like said down below they did not come from the factory with a hairdrier on them but when one was installed they were set between 112 -120 and when ya start going over that you are realy putting a strain on the pistons unless it was one of the later blocks then they had the nozzels sprayen the bottom of the pistons. It is like this if ya need more pony power then get a bigger horse.

Well if it has a turbo its not stock. Soooo then it depends how far you turn the fuel screw. Friend of mine asked me to help him "adjust" his, now he complains it burns too much fuel. Did get the chance to put it on a dyno one day. 158hp

We also have an 806 with a turbo. What else was done to your 806? The turbo wouldn"t nearly double the HP.....would it? Thanks

We've got a 806 that has been turboed since it was a year old, pump set to a hot 1206, been a real work horse for many years. zI would guess it to bee about a 150horse but the tractor has only been to the dealer one time since it was delivered new so it has never been on the dyno. it is one of the late models.

Its the turbo setup of of a 1206. the injection pump is just a roosa master was rebuilt to 1206 specs. I gave it another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. (Thats what he wanted) And yes you can get a lot more power out of them with a turbo because you can pack twice as much air into the engine. I've got a 4020 I added a turbo to and the PTO clutch slips at 150. A word of caution, this is like throwing gasoline on a fire. You dont run them in the field anywhere near capacity if you want it to last, but its nice not having to downshift in a tough spot. We both do a little tractor pulling, take turns beating each other and still get blown away by the big guys.

That 4020 will not take it but the 806 will> I set one back in the 60's new at 150, no problem.

IH built some tremendous engines, no doubt about it. Unfortunately the 1206 that donated the turbo did not take it. Best to use a little caution.
