You have a Farmall Super FC tractor. That is a Super C that was made in France. Down under we are lucky that we have I-H tractors from the U.S, U.K, France and the Austrailian plants.

Your description of it sounds like a French Farmall C, or perhaps a Super C, if they made it. As Hugh says the French and other european versions were different. As an example the French C could be had with a diesel engine, the US version could not.

Below is a link from the tractor photos that may be an FC. But the picture does not show any obvious differences from the US version, as the loader has it covered up pretty good. If it looks like yours that is likely what you have.

Tx: Thank you for that info on the French site. I have a book showing a few of the European tractors, but nothing as extensive as this. My book does show a photo of the C utility. I always said, IH should have turned out a C utility from it's US plants. There was a market 50 years ago for that size utility, and IH, JD, etc. handed it on a platter to Messers Ford and Ferguson.

You did a lot better than me! I bookmarked the site for future reference. Didn't know they made C utilities.

Raimund: Your best solution is for some the Europeans that frequent this site to come into this discussion.

The French and German built small Farmalls of 50 years ago, while they resemble American built Farmalls from the grill, The power train is quite different. I know very little other than a few photos I've seen.

Upload a picture of it in the Galleries under the Tractor Photos.

Then either post the url or use the optional image url at the bottom of the page when you post a message.

I KNOW one of these guys can tell you what kind it is.

You might just look thru the Tractor Photos and find a match yourself.

I doubt it on both counts.
