The PTO on my Farmall 400 is gaining oil so I assume the inner seal needs to be replaced ? Any special heads up on that repair or is it fairly easy ? How high should I get the rear end of tractor up so all the Hytran doesnt run out ? Ive changed Hytran so I dont want to lose any on the shop floor. Thanks ,Jeff

Jeff: If you park tractor with front wheels about 12" to 15" lower than rear, you will not loose any oil. I used to have a section of good one side douglas fir plywood to cover the hole. Bolt it on and keep on using tractor while pto was being rebuilt. Make sure you take out short shaft and both couplers if your going to keep using tractor.

On rebuilding unit I can not advise. I just shipped them off to the IH dealer and had it done professionally.
