Recently acquired a 15/30. The S/No. plate has been ripped off. Is the Serial number stamped anywhere?

Check the engine block, toward the front. There should be a flat spot, I believe, on the right hand side. This serial number might match the tractor's serial number, which probably isn't anywhere else on the tractor. Without the serial number plate, this is as close as you can get to determining the actual serial number, unless the engine has been replaced. You may find some casting dates on the engine, or the gear case, that will give you a clue to the age of the tractor. We used the engine number, and had a new plate made, for our 15-30.

It's interesting which IHC models make us think "now thats my idea of what a tractor should look like". It is very individual for each of us. The 10-20 and the 15-30 say it pretty well for me.
Congratulations and good fun to you!

Look on the left side of the clutch housing or the transmission housing. Hal
