I try not to watch too much TV, especially sitcoms. But my girlfriend loves the show "Friends", sooooo that means I get to see it alot. Anyway, she has a couple of the dvd's that are coming out with the entire season on them and we were watching a few episodes last weekend. The character played by Courtney Cox has a sweet International Harvester refrigerator in the kitchen of her appartment. Anybody else ever watch the show and notice that? It has the IH symbol and everything on it. This thing is mint condition. What a waste. I'd give almost anything for that fridge! It'd look great in the shop keeping my "sodas" cold while I work on the old Farmalls!

we had an International frig while I was growing up. When I got out of college in the 70's I purchased my Mom a new refrig. The International frig was moved to my sister's house for her to use as an extra refrig. As far as I know it is still running.

My Mom has a IH apartment size fride in here basement for the beer. It still works and looks good, not perfect but good. I keep telling her someday I'll be trading it for some tractor parts..... ..

My dad gave me an IH deep freeze the other day. It still works perfect and mom and dad bought it brand new when they were married in 1942. He wants me to move it out of the basement since mom passed away. The thing weighs a ton!
I have no clue what I am going to do as I already have a freezer but can't pass it up.

Yeah, I got to find me a fridge. I know a guy in the appliance repair buisness, he could probably get one to work with new parts and stuff. The key is to find one with nice sheet metal that's not all rusted out with good lines and stuff. I guess I'll have to keep an eye open.

Must be a trend. My mom and dad bought an IH fridge & matching freezer used back in 1952 when they got married. The freezer is still chugging away in the basement but the fridge died back in the late 1970s. The fridge was moved into a farrowing house when mom finally got new appliances in the kitchen, the high heat, humidity and dust killed it in a couple years.

The only reason the freezer is still in the basement is nobody's felt froggy enough to move the beast out.

I have a 1950 that I took to RED POWER in Tn. last year. Painted it IH red and put a huge ih decal on the front just for kicks...works great and keeps the barley pop just above ice crystals. Needs a handle, but I've had zero luck finding one.
