Think I found the time mark. Looks to be an "0" located on ring gear of flywheel looking in from the inspection hole in bottom of bell house. Did I find it or am I looking at a scratch that looks like a "0"? Thanks.

It's not on the ring gear. It's a line across the flywheel witn a 1-4 and it lines up with an embossed line in the center of the 1/2 moon tin flywheel cover. Jim

I don't think that's the timing mark. It should have a scribe mark across the flywheel with this stamped
into the flywheel.
"DC/1-4" I have heard that on some tractors, this may be missing. Another way to find is to pull No1 sparkplug near the radiator and bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Both valves on
that cylinder should be closed and if you pull the distributor cap your rotor should be at the No1 plug tower. Then you may be able to find the scribed line and put some white paint or chalk on it. Its probably coated in rust you may want to use a wire brush in a drill motor and remove all the rust. Hal
